I believe in the importance of a good match between therapist and client, so the first session is designed for us to get to know one another a little, talk about what you would like to focus on during counselling and establish whether we are a good fit.
Yes. What is discussed between us will remain confidential and not spoken about outside the counselling setting. However, there are limits to this confidentiality and we will discuss this at our initial meeting.
Each session lasts 50 minutes. The same day and time will be reserved for you each week, unless we agree otherwise.
For some, therapy is a life-long journey. For others, therapy serves as a guide through some tough waters. Everyone’s therapeutic journey is deeply personal and depends on their individual needs, goals and resources.
In my practice, generally, I start seeing people once a week for about three months. After that, some continue coming in weekly, while others move to every other week, and some eventually transition to once a month. I’ve had people who transition out of therapy and come back in once or twice a year for a “check-in” or for a series of sessions to address a specific concern that has come up.
£75 per session
Payment is made at the end of each session by bank transfer. In some cases, a sliding scale is available and can be discussed on an individual basis. Concessions offered for students and trainee counsellors
Sessions that are cancelled, rearranged or missed without at least 48 hours advance notice will incur a charge. Where possible I will try to re-arrange your appointment so that you can be seen within the same week.
